Soaring Wings International Montessori School
Soaring Wings International Montessori School is a private school for children from Infant through 12th grade and has been educating students in Park City, Utah since 1987. Montessori is an international educational philosophy that is widely recognized, accepted and embraced around the world. The school provides an exceptional curriculum that exceeds state and national standards.
The “education for peace” component originates in Dr. Montessori’s observation that when children learn to celebrate diversity, share limited resources, resolve conflicts peacefully and respect all living and non-living things we can begin to evolve to a more peaceful way of life.
As parents, you have many options when it comes to the education of your children. It is an important decision, and we invite you to consider the many characteristics which distinguish Soaring Wings International Montessori School from other private, public and charter schools.
Experience
Soaring Wings has been under the same ownership and management since 1987 and has graduated hundreds of happy, successful children. Our experience results in a stable, consistent learning environment where parents, teachers and students know what to expect from one year to the next.
Curriculum
Soaring Wings provides a rigorous, comprehensive curriculum that exceeds national standards in mathematics, science, literacy, social studies, practical life, sensorial, penmanship, fine arts, foreign language and healthy lifestyles. Every student learns at her own pace by following a customized curriculum adapted to her specific needs and emerges with a distinct academic advantage.
Success
The Stanford Achievement Test results of our students are phenomenal. Our comprehensive curriculum and mastery learning approach allow students to reach their highest potential. Consistency and time in class are important factors. Beginning at the Early Childhood level, students attend a minimum of four days per week in order to get the most out of their school experience.
Community
Our peaceful, productive atmosphere is evident the minute you step in the door. Students, teachers and parents work harmoniously together to provide a mutually supportive school community. In order to protect the peace and tranquility of our community, we carefully screen students, teachers and parents. Visitors often remark, “It’s so peaceful and happy here; I want to stay!” We encourage you and your child(ren) to become a part of the Soaring Wings community.

I have sent both my sons to Soaring Wings for pre-K and Kindergarten and I can't say enough good things about our experience. It is a warm, peaceful and welcoming environment that invites kids to be comfortable and confident; there is a focus on on learning and having personal integrity in the classroom; and a culture of celebrating childhood throughout.
I have been with Soaring Wings for almost 10 years as a teacher and 4 as a parent. The administration has been supportive and provided me many opportunities to further my career as an educator. As a parent I appreciate the diverse educational backgrounds of the staff and high standards the school maintains. My daughter was reading and writing at 3 and her love of learning is evident in all she does. The passion and commitment to education as well as the resources are all here!
Our family is ever grateful to Soaring Wings for the 8 years of foundations for life! We were very disappointed when we had to move to a different state for a job and quickly realized we would find no other Soaring Wings. The high level of teacher education, clear relevant curriculum standards, detailed record keeping, daily staff parent communication, and obvious money put into the school and classroom to keep everything top notch is simply not widely found! I have no reservations saying, "If you have an opportunity to send your child to Soaring Wings don't pass it up."
This is a fantastic school. My son has attended for four years, starting as a toddler and currently in the elementary program. I have been consistently satisfied with the staff, the curriculum, and his progress. Thank you Soaring Wings!
We thank the Park City community for 27 years of working with happy, peaceful, successful children - our graduates have gone on to become scholars, athletes, artists, entrepreneurs, scientists and humanitarians. Anyone who is unfamiliar with the school should come by for a tour. We have an expansive outdoor classroom, organic gardens and natural playscape that has been in place since the first day of school. Our teachers average seven years with us, all have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, about 40% have or are working on advanced degrees, and all teachers are credentialed by the American Montessori Society. Our students have, for almost three decades, tested far above the national norm and transitioned successfully into local schools.
As a former student I have nothing but great things to say about Soaring Wings. Their out of the box thinking styles put me ahead of the curve throughout my school career. I have visited the new campus and it is absolutely beautiful. The creative play areas and complexly interesting art sculptures makes me want to go to school there all over again. The staff of friendly teachers are all required to hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a Montessori credential. You can tell the management has been doing this for over 20 years by how smoothly the whole school operates. My experience there was incredible and I can’t wait to send my kids to school there
